Robert James Hinckley's Obituary
Age 92, of Summit Township, passed away February 6, 2020 at his home under the loving care of his grandson Jason and his wife Alice and under the auspices of Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. He is survived by his son; James (Judy) Hinckley, step-daughter; Linda Brewer, grandchildren; Jason (Alice) Helton, David Hinckley, Gilbert (Karen) Helton, Myles Helton and Michael Brewer. He was preceded in death by his wife; Mary (maiden-Farley) Hinckley, daughter; Janine Helton and his parents; Frederick P. and Eugenia (maiden-White) Hinckley. Robert served the nation in World War II and later in the US Coast Guard, earning Honorable Discharges from both. His career was spent flipping houses, selling some and being a landlord on the others. Family and friends are invited to gather for a Celebration of Life honoring both Robert and Mary at Davis Steak's Eatery (4243 Oak Lane, Vandercook) on Thursday, February 13, 2020 at 11:00 am with guidance by Chaplain Greg Grotbeck, Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. He and his late wife Mary will be laid to rest at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice.
