Robert James "Bob" Nastally
Age 79, passed away on December 22nd, 2021. Robert was born on November 7, 1942 to Albert and Elsie Nastally in Jackson. He attended St. Stanislaus Elementary, East Intermediate School and was a swim team member and graduate of Jackson High School. After proudly serving in the United States Army, Bob worked in Jackson at Clark Equipment then at Dawn Foods as a lab technician until his retirement. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Erna and Eleanor and brothers, Leroy and Stanley. In 1969, he bravely married the love of his life, Peggy Ann, and raised her seven children as his own. Peggy preceded him in death last year. He is survived by two brothers, Albert and Richard Nastally; a sister, Lucille (Pat) Brownrigg; children, Cheryl Jones, Cyndie (Jim) Gorton, Steven (Carolyn) Schaff, Vernon Schaff, Connie (Brian) Hinkley, Catherine (Glenn) Smith and Robin (Rob) Schrameyer. He will also be greatly missed by his many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Bob enjoyed fishing with his brother Dick, long drives in the country, and playing cute practical jokes on those around him. General visitation is scheduled for Thursday, December 30, 2021 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Arthur-Day Funeral Home, 820 5th St. in Michigan Center. A private service will follow with interment at Roseland Memorial Gardens thereafter.
