Robert Wayne Nelson Jr.'s Obituary
Age 55, formerly of Brooklyn. After a courageous and long battle with ALS, Bob earned his Angels Wings at Masonic Pathways in Alma, MI on October 8, 2019. He is survived by his mother, Noelia 'Dannie' Snyder; father, Robert W. Nelson Sr.; three sisters, Deborah Nelson (Ronny Culver), Brenda (Tom) Bell, and Phyllis Jew; brother-in-law, Jay; niece Janazhia Jew; nephew, Chad (Angela) Nelson; several grand nieces and nephews and special friend, Heather Titus. Bob was preceded in death by his step-father, Butch Snyder "Pappy". Bob had an unforgettable personality and contagious smile; he enjoyed music, movies, visiting casinos, family time, gardening, cooking, was extremely talented with crafts and design. He treasured time with his family, especially watching horror movies with his sisters. Bob worked many years as a CENA, providing compassionate and skillful care to the residents. Cremation has taken place. A Celebration of his Life will be held at Arthur-Day Funeral Home on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at 11:00 am with Reverend Bart Hall officiating. A luncheon will follow the services. In honor of Bob, the family requests guests wear bright, colorful clothes. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to service time. Contributions in his memory are directed to his family to help defray his final expenses.
