Roger Alan Hammond's Obituary
Hammond, Roger Alan Age 63, of Summit Township, passed away at his home on Sunday, April 21, 2013. He is survived by his sister, Ruth (Paul Cardwell) Hammond; one brother, Paul (Esteline) Hammond; niece, Michelle Lynn (Harley) Arvinas; three nephews, Scott Russell (Nancy Kalisch) Bradley, Kevin Albert (Jessica) Bradley and Timothy Paul Hammond; two great-nieces, Laylah Ruth and Danica Bradley; great-nephew, Drew Bradley. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Edna Hammond. He was a graduate of Michigan Center High School, Class of 1967; worked 26 years at Montgomery-Wards and retired from Gerdau (Mac Steel). Roger was an avid family man who took pride in his nephews and niece. He will be greatly missed. Services will be held at the funeral home Wednesday, April 24, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dave Oberst officiating. Interment Woodland Cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to the Alzheimer's Disease Association.
