Ronald Joseph Buksar's Obituary
Age 83, of Michigan Center, passed away at Henry Ford Allegiance Health on Sunday, November 22, 2020. Ron is survived by his beloved wife of 61 years, Helen Jo (Paul) Buksar; three daughters, Natalie Burtscher (Jimmy Myers) of Kennesaw, GA, Kelly (Gregory) Flees of Battle Creek and Christine (David) Romberger of Clarklake; four grandchildren, Hadley (Erik) Smrekar of Altanta, GA, Andreas (Camille) Burtscher of Park City, UT, Grant DeMoss of Birmingham, AL and Ellerie Anna (Blake) Bambach of Marshall; special Godson, Alex Bellfy; siblings, Edward (Barbara) Buksar, John Buksar and Robert Buksar; his Paul in-laws, Judy Paul, Julie (John) Schmid and Susan (David) Thorpe; many nieces, nephews and good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Anna Buksar; siblings, Andy Jr. (Sally) Buksar and Joan (Arthur) Selland; in-laws, Patricia Buksar, David Paul and Kathryn Kern. Ron was a 1955 graduate of Michigan Center High School and went on to serve in the U.S. Army during Korea. He then went on to a career in sales with Clark Equipment and Eaton Corporation. Ron loved the outdoors, whether it was walks with Helen Jo, grilling, hunting or fishing. His greatest pride and joy was each of his adored grandchildren who they lovingly referred to him as "Opa". He was a follower of University of Michigan Football and NASCAR. Ron was a member of the Polish Falcons and Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where he served as a lead usher. A Funeral Mass will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church on Saturday, November 28, 2020 at 11 am with Rev. Father Satheesh Alphonse, SdC officiating. Interment will follow at Maple Grove Cemetery in Concord with military honors by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday beginning at 10 am.
