Ronald Thomas Elliott's Obituary
Ronald Thomas Elliott, 75, of Manchester, Michigan passed away Sunday, November 9, 2025 at Adrian Bay Rehab and Nursing Center. A private service will be held with full military honors.
He was born on November 20, 1949, in Detroit, Michigan to Lawson and Mary Jane (Cowperthwaite) Elliott. He will be remembered for his artistic nature and love for music. Ron proudly served his country in the United States Armed Forces during the Vietnam Conflict, receiving the Purple Heart. He enjoyed reading, writing poetry and short stories about cats. Ron would make things out of pipes, showing his creative ability. He also loved music and shared that love with his daughters, making sure they where able to attend concerts or purchase music of their choice. His preference was MC5, the Ramones and Iggy Pop. Ron’s favorite holiday was the 4th of July; he loved the fireworks. He was a member of the UAW for many years. Above all, Ron enjoyed spending time with his daughters and his many cats. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Ron is survived by his ex-wife and friend, Debra; his children, Rachel (David) Elliott-Golema and Elizabeth (Ahmed) Elliott; siblings, Thomas, Edward and Arlene; sister/niece Sherrie Barrett; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Lawson and Mary Jane; brothers, Michael and John; and sisters, Mary Jane and Nancy.
