Ronald J Illi Sr's Obituary
ILLI, RONALD J., Sr. Age 80, of Pleasant Lake, formerly of Manchester, Dexter and Ann Arbor, passed away at Allegiance Hospice Home on Thursday, August 30, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Erwin and Francis Illi; and brother, Danny Illi, who was killed in Vietnam in 1966. Ron is survived by his wife of 56 years, Jacqueline; four children, Lisa Bannock of Mesa, AZ, Dana (John) Jenick of New Castle, CO, Gina (Dan) Lobbestael of Napoleon Township, and Ronald ""Chip"" (Lisa) Illi, Jr., of Albion; seven grandchildren, Ashley and Alex Brannock, Zachry and Tommy Lobbestael, Katherine (Stephen) Subu, Lauren and Audrey Illi; one great-granddaughter, Vivian Subu; brother, David Illi of Destin, FL; sister, Mary (Bill) Nuffer of Suttons Bay, MI; nieces and nephews. Ron had owned and operated Illi's Auto Service, as well as Auto Parts & Machine Shop, both in Ann Arbor. He was a member of the Jaycee's and National Rifle Association. Ron enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, time with his grandchildren, as well as watching Michigan Football and Detroit Tigers Baseball. As was his request, cremation has taken place. A Time to Celebrate and Remember Ron's life will take place at Hankerd Hills Golf Course, 10251 Resort Road, Pleasant Lake on Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 3 pm to 7 pm, with food, beverage and stories to be shared.
