Ronald John Karasek's Obituary
Age 84, of Michigan Center, passed away Thursday, February 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the medical care of Careline Hospice. He was born in Jackson, MI on Sunday, October 10, 1937 to the late John Anthony and Jane Genevieve (Zlotozynski) Karasek. He is survived by two children; Becky (Jeff) Dunn, Ronald J. "John" (Noelle) Karasek, son-in-law; Tom Midena, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and his sister; Alicia (Joseph) Job, several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife; Belva "Tootie" Karasek and his daughter; Kim Midena. Ron worked many years for Penn-Central Railroad and also was the owner and operator of Ron Karasek Cement Contractor. He served the nation in the US Army. He loved spending time with his children and grandchildren. His favorite pastime was an ardent love of fishing which earned him a Master Anglers Award. He was a member of Our Lady of Fatima Parish where private services will be held with Father Tim MacDonald Officiating. Interment next to his beloved Tootie will follow at Woodland Cemetery, Summit Twp., Michigan. Contributions in his memory are directed to Fatima Parish or Careline Hospice. A public Celebration of his Life will be held at a later date.
