Rosalind Alice Curtis' Obituary
Age 93, of Napoleon Township, passed away at home under the loving care of her family January 3, 2019. She is survived by five children, Dennis (Dianne) Curtis, David (Norma) Curtis, Jeffrey (Terri) Curtis, Nancy (Robert) Cudworth and Beth (Reed) Ambler, grandchildren; Amy (Delbert) Pike, Sarah (Brian) DeBaets, Steven (Rebecca) Curtis, Benjamin (Savannah) Curtis, Kyle (Jennifer) Cudworth, Adam (Heather) Cudworth, CPL Dustin Curtis, USMC, and Jonathan Curtis, DC, fifteen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Lyle E. Curtis in 2011, three siblings, Gloria Kelley, John Mayer and Joyce Mayer and her parents, Silas and Hilda (Dancer) Mayer. Born in Horton, Michigan May 26, 1925 she married Lyle Curtis in 1947 and for many decades they owned and operated Curtis Farm which received its Michigan Centennial Farm Recognition in May of 2018. Rosie treasured building memories with her family and friends, loved to fish and deer hunt and was a successful seeker and collector of Indian arrowheads. She was a long time member of the Raisin River Primitive Baptist Church. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, January 8, 2019 at 11 am with Pastor Ron Clark of the Community Bible Church officiating. Interment Norvell Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday 2-4 & 6-8 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Michigan Parkinson Foundation.
