Rose Marie Wisniewski's Obituary
Rose Marie Wisniewski, 89, from Brooklyn, MI, passed away on Monday, March 24, 2025, surrounded by her family. Rose’s family and friends will gather from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., on Monday, March 31, 2025, at St. Rita’s Catholic Church in Clark Lake, MI. Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 a.m., at the church. Fr. Tom Helfrich O.S.F.S will serve as celebrant. A private burial will take place at Jefferson Cemetery.
She was born on July 11, 1935, in Detroit, MI, to Leo and Mary (Gaby) Vierik. Rose graduated from Saint Ladislaus High School. She married the love of her life, Mitchell Wisniewski, on July 11, 1953, in Angola, IN and who she sadly lost in 2010. Rose worked in the assembly department in the automotive industry, building the buckles for seat belts. Her and her husband lived on Lake Columbia where they loved going boating. Rose loved working outside on the lawn, where she would plant flowers; she especially loved roses, and shrubs and decorated with yard ornaments. She was passionate about animals, particularly dogs; she took many strays into her home over the years. Rose loved to dress up for Halloween and loved to celebrate the Holidays, especially New Year’s Eve. She also enjoyed cooking. Rose will be remembered as a loving wife, mother and grandma, who was extremely creative and fun to be around. She will truly be missed by all who knew her.
Rose will be missed by her children, Mary Ann (Gene) Davenport, Mitchell Wisniewski, Jr. and Martin (Debra) Wisniewski; her sisters, Tina (Rich) Kempisty and Marilyn Wozniak; and her grandchildren, Julie, Kristy, Tyler, Martin II and Nicholas. She is preceded in death by her parents, Leo and Mary Vierik; her husband, Mitchell Wisniewski; her sister, Geraldine “Cooky” Vierik; and her brother-in-law, Ed Wozniak.
