Roselyn ""Rosie"" Ann Lowden's Obituary
Lowden, Roselyn Ann ""Rosie"" (Maiden-Doering) Age 84, passed away July 7, 2014 at Arbor North Living Center under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Hospice after a courageous battle with Parkinson's Disease and Post-Polio Syndrome. Rosie is survived by her loving husband of over 62 years, Robert E., seven children, Sue (Mike) Bradley, Jim (Judy Williams) Lowden, Rick (Sarah Ellison) Lowden, Ron (Diane Matthews) Lowden, Patty (Dale) Grimes, Lori (Steve) Dailey and Joe (Teresa) Lowden, fourteen grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, sister, Irene Conklin and sister-in-law, Dorthy Doering. Rosie was inducted into the Michigan Amateur Softball Association (M.A.S.A.) Hall of Fame in 2008 and the Michigan Center High School Wall of Fame in 2010. She was employed at Sparton Electronics and KC'S Flowers and Greenhouse. Rosie was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who enjoyed her family, friends, gardening, fishing and sports. Services will be held at the funeral home Saturday, July 12, 2014 at 11 am. Cremation will follow the services. Visitation will be held Friday evening, 6-8 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to the St. Vincent DePaul Society of Jackson.
