Rosemary Herzberg's Obituary
Rosemary Herzberg, 09/12/1948-01/1/2024, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. She was born to Clifford and Sigrid Howard and lived her entire life in Jackson. She worked at Mercy/Foote Hospital, Camshaft, and Mac Steele doing accounts receivables.
She married the love of her life Phillip Michael Herzberg and spent 53 wonderful years together in the same home in Napoleon. Rosemary battled Alzheimer’s disease for the last 15 years. Phil was right by her side until he passed in 11/2022 and took full care of her in their home. They spent many wonderful years together hunting, fishing, and going for Jeep rides to get ice cream and around Lake Columbia.
Rosemary was known for many things. Her wonderful smile that disappeared in the last few years of her disease was the most memorable. She was an avid gardener, worked out at Curves, and loved her Wesco popcorn. She was goofy, fun loving, and always the first person to lend a hand. She was a wonderful friend, mother, wife, sister, grandma, neighbor, and aunt.
She was preceded in death by her love Phillip Michael Herzberg, father Clifford Howard, in-laws Frank and Viola (Tucker) Herzberg. She is survived by mother, Sigrid Howard (Burkhardt), sister Gale (Howard) Phillips, son Jeff Herzberg, daughter Kim (Brian)Fulton, Grandson’s Hunter and Ethan, brother in-law Mark (Brenda) Herzberg and sister-in-law, Jean (Jerry) Bethel and many nieces and nephews.
A special thank you to neighbors Carol Molton, Phyllis (Leon) Pittman and friends Megan and Tim Nixon, Debby Yost, D’Vonne Yonnick, Ray and Joyce Townsend and Father Tom Helfrich. Also thank you to the caring staff at Highland Assisted Living and dear Mike and Gentiva Hospice. Your years of support went above and beyond. We are truly blessed.
A mass and celebration of life will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make donations to Alzheimer’s Foundation or Gentiva
