Ruth Ann Murphy's Obituary
Ruth Ann Murphy, 84, of Brooklyn, Michigan passed away on Friday, July 11, 2025 peacefully at home There will be a Memorial Gathering for Ruth, Saturday, August 2, 2025 from 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Interment of ashes to be at a later date.
She was born on January 7, 1941 in Norvell Township, Michigan to Harold and Ester (Austin) Jester. Ruth married the love of her life and high school sweetheart, Larry Murphy, on October 3, 1959, at the Napoleon Methodist Church. They had 65 wonderful years of marriage until her passing. She is a 1959 graduate of Napoleon High School. After graduation she began raising her family and working as a Mortgage Processor. Ruth enjoyed crocheting and was very artistic. She and Larry became snow birds, wintering in Florida. They also enjoyed traveling. Above all Ruth cherished her time with family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren, friends and her dog “Hannah”. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
Ruth is survived by her adoring husband, Larry; her children, Mark (JoAnn), Brian (Mary Ann), Shawn (Mary) and Marianne (Michael) Miller; a brother, Marvin (Paula) Jester; 12 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; and Gary Tittler. She is preceded in death by her parents and a grandson, Benjamin Langley.
