Sadie Anette Gilbert's Obituary
Sadie Anette Gilbert, 86, of Onsted passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side, Friday, November 24, 2023. Sadie’s family and friends will gather Thursday, November 30, 2023 from 11:00 am – 2:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm. Pastor John White will officiate. Sadie’s burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Brooklyn, Michigan.
She was born on December 3, 1936 in Fonde, Kentucky to William and Doxie (Marsee) Davis. Sadie married the love of her life, the late Myron Gilbert, on November 24, 1956 in Adrian, Michigan. She will be remembered as a very giving woman, that gave her heart and soul. Sadie was a very strong lady that loved her family, especially the grandchildren and great grandchildren. She cherished every moment with them. Sadie was a graduate of Middlesboro High School in Kentucky, She also was a great seamstress and loved painting. Sadie made most of her children’s clothing and could repair anything. She had an amazing green thumb and was a terrific cook. Sadie was very strong in her faith and was a lifetime member of the Church of God in Adrian. If you were having a bad day, Sadie could turn that around so that you were smiling by the time you left. She will greatly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sadie is survived by her children, Myron (Pam Eisenhauer) Gilbert, Barbara (David) Klinck, Fred (Janel) Gilbert, Rebecca (Frederick Parish) Gilbert and Lisa (Rick) Graham; 14 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, William and Doxie, her husband, Myron and a daughter, Anette.
