Sarah Pierce's Obituary
Was granted her Angel Wings March 7, 2016 at the age of 89. She was born in Kevil, Kentucky on June 22, 1926. Sarah grew up in Kentucky and Jackson, Michigan where she met and married her husband of 52 years, William James Pierce. They lived in Jackson and then Vandercook Lake before retiring to St. Cloud, Florida where they enjoyed many years. Sarah loved being a mother and it showed. She always put her children first. She also enjoyed sewing, cooking, gardening and visiting with family and friends. She will always be remembered for her smile that lit up the room, her sense of humor, quick wit, compassion and her love of life, family and friends. Her spirit is carried on by her children, Gary (Ann) Pierce, Robin (Tom) Reamer and Karen Riddle, brother Carl Smith, sister-in-law Margaret LaSarra, nine grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William James Pierce, mother Nannie Burnley Smith, step-mother Inez Smith, father Fred Smith, brother John Smith, sister Verdray Hilley and many others with whom she is now reunited with in heaven. Services will be held at the Funeral Home Monday, March 14, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Terry Riddle officiating. Interment Hillcrest Memorial Park. Visitation will be Sunday 2-4 & 6-8 pm. After the services, all the flowers will be donated to her friends and family at the nursing home where she resided and where she was loved and cared for by so many.
