Scott Dean Sloat's Obituary
Scott Dean Sloat, 73, of Brooklyn, MI, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday, February 23, 2025, at his home. Scott’s family will have a celebration of life at a later date.
He was born on December 31, 1951, in Ann Arbor, MI, to James and Betty (Dunny) Sloat. Scott married the love of his life, Candace, on April 8, 1972, in Manchester, MI, who he sadly lost in 2014. He was a dedicated husband, father and grandfather and his family was the most important thing in his life. Scott was an easy-going guy, who was great to talk with. He enjoyed hunting, especially bow hunting, archery, fishing and just being outdoors. Scott and his family loved to go camping together. Scott was a member of the Harley Davidson Club and loved riding around on his Harley Davidson motorcycle.
Scott will be missed by his children, Jason Sloat; and his grandchildren, Makenna, Brielle and Greisha Sloat. He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Betty Sloat; his wife, Candace Sloat; his brother, Jimmy; and his sister, Connie.
