Scott Allen Van Epps' Obituary
Scott Allen Van Epps, 59, from Jackson, MI, passed away peacefully in his home, on Wednesday, May 7, 2025.
He was born on August 19, 1965, in Jackson, MI, to Clarence and Lela (Wright) Van Epps. Scott married the love of his life, Elizabeth “Beth” Anne, on October 26, 1985, in Jackson, MI. He was a hard worker throughout his life, but his true passion was his family. Scott was a huge family man and loved spending as much time with those he loved, especially his grandkids. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing poker and going up north to his cabin in Harrison. Scott will be remembered for his loving, kind heart, who loved everyone. He will truly be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Scott is survived by his children, Jimmy (Jen) Hurd, Joseph Van Epps and Chad (Alyssa) Van Epps; his siblings, Mary Kenton, Kathy (Mike) Weeks, Jay Van Epps, Tris (Mike) Pond, Steven (Barb) Van Epps and Alice (Stacey) Powell; his grandchildren, Olivia Hurd and Landon Hurd; his brother and sister-in-law’s, Wendy (Matt) Smith, Lisa Guajardo, Scott (Ann) Van Epps and Chanin (Brion) Martin; many nieces and nephews; and many close friends and extended family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Lela Van Epps; his wife of 36 years, Beth Van Epps; his sister, Cindy Hicks; and his in-laws, Loren and Patricia Van Epps.
Scott’s family and friends will gather from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m., on Monday, May 12, 2025, and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel. His funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, May 13, 2025, at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel. Michael D. Mason will officiate. Procession to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Jackson, MI.
