Sharon Elaine Stoker's Obituary
Age 79, of Grass Lake, passed away at home under the loving care of her family and Elara Caring Hospice on Thursday, April 8, 2021. Sharon is survived by her beloved family, her three children, Tammy R. (David) Wahl, Melanie K. (Lyle) Irvine and Anthony W. Stoker (Tracey Connors); five grandchildren, Erika (Jason) Fletcher, Nathan Wahl, Crystal (Robert) Miller, Michael (Britney) Irvine and Kyle (Ashley) Stoker; ten great-grandchildren; siblings, Charles (Susie) Goldsmith, Keith (Irene) Goldsmith, Philip (Debra) Goldsmith, Mary (Louis Sanders) Goldsmith and Jane Goldsmith; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandson, Jacob Stoker; father, Robert Goldsmith; mother, Doris Hartman and siblings, Avis Stokes, Brian Goldsmith and John Goldsmith.
Sharon was proud to be a member of her Goldsmith family; she spent all of her youth in Michigan Center where she graduated in the class of 1960 from Michigan Center High School. She went on to have a 37 year career with National Bank of Jackson and Comerica Bank where she held many roles, retiring as a Branch Officer where she oversaw branch operations. For over 30 years, Sharon was an active member of both the American Business Women's Association and the Michigan Center Lioness Club. In recent years, she had lived in Florida before returning home to be near her family.
As was her request, cremation has taken place and a graveside interment service will be held at Leoni Cemetery on Portage Road on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Brad Smith officiating. For those who wish, please bring a folding chair for the services. Contributions in memory of Sharon may be given to the Michigan Center Lioness Club.
