Sharon Kay Weidmayer's Obituary
Sharon Kay Weidmayer, 75, of Chelsea, Michigan passed away on Tuesday, July 15, 2025. Sharon’s family and friends will gather from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Eineder Funeral Homes - Manchester Chapel and at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, August 15, 2025 at St. Thomas Lutheran Church, 10001 W. Ellsworth Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan directly followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 a.m. Pastor Coleman Geraci will officiate. Internment will take place on a later date at St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery.
Sharon was born on February 6, 1950, in Tecumseh, Michigan to Donald Allen and Mary Elaine (Ulrich) Walter. Sharon graduated from Manchester High School in 1968. She worked as a secretary for the South and West Washtenaw Consortium and as the treasurer for St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, Michigan. She loved children and volunteered at Freedom Child Care Center in Ann Arbor for many years. Sharon loved spending time with family and friends and was always there to support her grandchildren in their various activities. She also enjoyed playing cards and researching genealogies. Sharon will be remembered as a loving mother, grandmother, and friend.
Sharon will be missed by her children, Brian (Mindy) Weidmayer, and Jeff (Elissa) Weidmayer; siblings, Sue (Mike) Shinabarger, Jim Walter, Bob (Denise) Walter, Kay (Roy) Weidmayer, Don (Erin) Walter, and sister-in-law Carol Walter; grandchildren, Sarah (Chris), Megan (Lucas), Michael, Grace, Evan, and Caty; great-grandchildren, Asher and Annie. She is preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Mary Walter; brother Ron Walter, sister Mary Ann Walter, and sister-in-law Jo Walter.
The family would also like to extend a special thank you to her close friends Ron and Jan Waldron, as well as all the staff at Chelsea Retirement Community.
