Sharon Lee Wyse's Obituary
Age 79, of Ionia, formerly of Clarklake and Jackson, passed away at Michigan Medicine in Ann Arbor on Wednesday, February 24, 2021. Sharon is survived by two beloved sons and their families, Ryan Wyse and his children, Alexis and Aubrey Wyse, Chris (Rebecca) Wyse and their children, Clark and Grant Wyse; her brother, Dennis Allen (Ila) Dossett and sister, Sue Ann (Larry) Thrash. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Dorothy (Culbertson) Dossett; and brothers, David LeRoy Dossett and Dewey Dossett.
Sharon became a Corrections Officer for the State of Michigan Prison System working at the State Prison of Southern Michigan in Jackson, then transferring to Ionia where she retired in 2007 from the Bellamy Creek Facility. In retirement, she worked as a driver for Community Mental Health in Ionia.
Sharon enjoyed visiting with family, travelling, gardening, working on puzzles and reading. She loved roller coasters and watching and listening to Rush Limbaugh.
As was her request, cremation has taken place and a service to honor Sharon's life will be held at St. Aidan's Episcopal Church (361 E. Grove Ave., Michigan Center, MI 49254) on Saturday, March 20, 2021 at Noon with Reverend Larry Rubingh officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 am until service time.
