Shelley L. Bedore's Obituary
Age 71, of Tompkins Township, passed away at her home under the loving care of her family and Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice on Monday, September 13, 2021. She was born at Jackson, MI, the daughter of Sam and Jane (Williams) Crandall and they preceded her in death.
Shelley is survived by her beloved family, her husband of 48 years, Brian Bedore; daughter and son-in-law, Elizabeth and Andrew Dexter of Rapid City, MI; son, Joseph Bedore of Spring Arbor; grandchildren, Scarlett and Miles Dexter; exchange students and honorary children, Steven Gilbert of France and Olivia Krasuski of Germany; three sisters, Lynn and Paul Gorris, Phyllis and Jerry Cortright, Carrie and Ellory Henry; special friends, Joyce Marie Bedore, Marie and Art Beckman, Beth and Greg Faust, and Gladys Hamlin; many other extended family and friends.
Shelley retired after 30 years as a teacher with the Jackson Public Schools. She enjoyed shopping (especially for shoes), thrifting, camping, playing with her adored grandchildren, taking walks and spending time with her family and friends. Shelley was the life of the party and always opened her door to others with a welcoming and warm smile. She will be dearly missed.
