Shirley Ann Haddox, 89, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at the Henry Ford Hospice Home, September 22, 2025. At Shirley’s request cremation has taken place and there will be no services at this time.
Shirley was born on September 7, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan to Leo and Helen (Pawlowski) Snyder. Shirley married the love of her life, Ronnie Haddox in 1993, sadly he passed in 2005. She will be remembered as loving wife, mother and grandmother. Shirley worked in the HVAC field as a press operator for 30 years. After retiring she decided to go back into the workforce as a kitchen aid at Vandercook Lake high school for several years. Shirley loved to bake, especially cookies ,breads, soups and golumpkis. She loved to take her favored dishes to the neighbors, often times being met with a challenge of a “cook-off” between them. Shirley was known for her funny and many facial expressions and giving nicknames to her loved ones. She loved her beautiful flower gardens. A favorite pass time of hers was going with her granddaughter Casandra on coffee dates.
Shirley will be deeply missed by anyone that knew her, especially, her grandchildren, Casandra (Sam) Woollard, Tara, Kyle, Aaron Beckman, Stacy Lippert; her nephew Brian Morano and niece Suzy Van Buren; and several great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Ronnie, her children, Lauren, Bobby and Lori Beckman, her parents, her sister Dolores Morano and her brothers, Richard and Donald Snyder.
