Shirley Ann Molica's Obituary
Age 91, of Michigan Center, passed away Saturday, June 25, 2016 under the loving care of her husband Frank; Tracy and Jim Petty; and Arbor Hospice. Shirley was born June 17, 1925 in Jackson to Anthony and Rosella (Klocksien) Lavendusky and on November 12, 1955 she was married to Frank R. Molica in South Bend, IN. She is survived by her husband; one son, Anthony Molica and special niece, Carole (Bill) Loll. Shirley was preceded in death by her beloved daughter, Christine Molica Field in 1998 and son, Mark Molica in 2008. She was a 1945 graduate of East Jackson High School; she was a hardworking woman, starting at 15 years old and continued working up until the death of her daughter in 1998. Shirley was a wonderful mother and wife and was a friend to all whom she met; with her personality and sweet disposition, it was hard not to like her in return. She excelled at the piano, starting at a young age, giving performances in high school; she enjoyed doll making and working with antique glass and glass lamps. The last six months of her life were spent at the home and under the wonderful care of Tracy Petty and her husband Jim, who thought of Shirley and Frank as their loving grandparents. Cremation has been selected and no services will be held.
