Shirley Ann Smith's Obituary
SMITH, SHIRLEY ANN Age 69, of Napoleon Township, passed away at her home May 20, 2013 under the loving care of her family and Allegiance Hospice. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Ron; four children, Rick Smith (Cindy Rock), Vicki (Thomas) Coulombe, Jody (Dan) Rooney and Timothy (Rachel) Smith and 13 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Leon and Mildred Gaukroger. Shirley was a devoted wife and mother and belonged to the Napoleon United Methodist Church. Shirley loved to travel, especially the Michigan coastline, and marveled at nature's beauty. Shirley touched many people's lives with her endless supply of unconditional love and influenced them to be better people. Mrs. Smith has been cremated. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at First Church of the Nazarene, 3905 Clinton Road (M-50) in Jackson on Saturday, June 8, 2013 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Phil Stout officiating. Contributions in her memory are directed to Allegiance Hospice.
