My condolences to Thea and the family. I worked with Stan at La-Z-Boy. I was touched deeply by Stan when in 1998 I had a serious surgery and Stan called and sent a wonderful get well gift and card. He is fondly remembered as a friend and co-worker.

What started as a professional relationship with Stan 25 years ago grew into the most beautiful of friendships. Our breakfasts at Bob Evans always went longer than planned as we would get lost in solving world problems, sharing philosophies, and praising our wives, kids, and later, grandkids. Stan, of course, would finish each with a recommendation, or three, of books which he felt I would enjoy. When health became an important part of the conversation our friendship bonded yet tighter. We were open and honest to each other and did our best to provide support. The 23rd Psalm became our connecting rod. So, as we temporarily separate, it is good to know Stan that you ARE dwelling in the Lord’s own house for length of days unending”. With love, admiration, and appreciation, John.
You have my deepest sympathy!
Stan and I first met many years ago when he started working at La-Z-Boy. We both worked in the I.T. Department. He was a great friend as well as a great co-worker. We have kept in touch over the years and I will miss him! Today when I pass along political jokes and cartoons (we were both staunch Republicans) it just doesn't seem right not adding his name to the list anymore.
With sympathy,
