Stephen Michael Zonts' Obituary
Age 64, of Leoni Township, passed away at his home November 24, 2017. He is survived by his beloved Carrie Barr, four children Aaron Hayner, Hayley Connor (Josh Siegrist), Cody Zonts (Chelsea) and Elaine Barr (Cara Nader), mother Freida James, grandchildren Alyssa, Madison, Isabella, Adrian and Noah, brothers Joe (Shelley), Albert Jr. "Sonny" (Li Liu), John (Doreen), Tom (Karen) and Mark (Sheila) Zonts, sister Joyce Haire (Kevin) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Albert Zonts and his brother Michael Zonts. Steve was an avid photographer, loved all the times spent with his family, playing drums and enjoying the great outdoors. He devoted his life to a career path dedicated to helping others, serving as a Medical Technician at the State Prison and the Chelsea Hospital Emergency Department, as a 37 year Paramedic with the Jackson EMS, a long time Field Investigator for the Jackson County Medical Examiner's Office and was particularly proud of his service with the Henrietta Township Volunteer Fire Department. Mr. Zonts has been cremated. Steve's family would like to invite his friends to join them in a Celebration of his Life to be held at the Michigan Center Bible Church (150 Broad Street, Michigan Center) on Wednesday, November 29, 2017 at 11 am with a luncheon to follow. The family will receive friends at the St. Aidan's Church, 361 East Grove on Tuesday, November 28th from 2-4 and 6-8 pm.
