Stephen Sczykutowicz's Obituary
Age 68, of Summit Township, passed away at his home surrounded by his loving family and under Careline Hospice on Tuesday, February 15, 2022. Steve was born in Jackson, Michigan on Saturday, March 28, 1953 to the late Stephen J and Clara C. (Green) Sczykutowicz. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Cindy Ann (Benn) Sczykutowicz; three daughters, Karen (Aaron) Barnes, Stephanie Sczykutowicz and Jill Warfield; eleven grandchildren; siblings, Jean (Clayton) Knowles, Ron (Sandy) and Jimmy (Suzy) Sczykutowicz; brother-in-law, Terry Hammond; many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Tina Hammond and Barb Cavanaugh; and nephew, Robbie Sczykutowicz. Steve proudly served the nation in the US Marine Corp. He retired from Camshaft Machine Company in Jackson as a machinist after a career spanning 42 years. He enjoyed hunting and fishing with his brothers and gardening. He was an ardent collector of firearms and coins. Mr. Sczykutowicz has been cremated. To commemorate his life the family will receive friends at Arthur-Day Funeral Home Wednesday, February 23, 2022 from 5 to 7 pm. The Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team will render military honors at 6:45 pm. Contributions in his memory are directed to his wife.
