Susan Marie Gat's Obituary
Age 55, of Hawaii, formerly of Michigan Center, crossed over Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health in Jackson, Michigan. She was born Sunday, February 20, 1966 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Joseph J. and Margaret G. (maiden-Thomas) Goralski Sr. She is survived by her husband of 33 years; Al (Alexander) Gat, two children; Zackary and Lilyan Gat, four siblings; Joseph (Christine) Goralski Jr., Sharon (Larry) Makulski, Jeffrey (Theresa) Goralski and James (Lisa) Goralski, five extremely close friends; Buzzy Koziar, Marlene Floyd, Cherie Zuccaro, Colleen Lisowski and Nora Rowley; 15 nieces and nephews plus their children (with special appreciation to Alicia Swisher, Dezerie Herzberg, and Jenny Kolbasa), several aunts and uncles; as well as many friends that she made wherever she went. Sue was a loving person, mother, wife, family pillar, and dear friend. She served as the glue that held the extended family together, serving as the counselor and confidant to her family and friends who needed someone to talk to with a kind voice to help sort things out. She did not stint on her time with her loved ones, talking for many hours anytime day or night. Her presence here will be missed.
The hurt most are feeling from her crossing over is a good hurt, as it could not be felt if it were not for the deep love we have for her and her for us.
From her wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday, November 27, 2021 at Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church at 11:00 am with Father Satheesh Alphonse, SdC. officiating. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to service time.
In her memory and instead of sending flowers please learn more about the syndrome that impacted most of her life, Stevens-Johnson Syndrome. You can start by going to the Mayo Clinic and Stevens-Johnson Syndrome Foundation websites.
