Teresa Diane Dorer's Obituary
Teresa Diane Dorer, 75, of Cement City, Michigan, passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2025. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
Teresa was born on July 23, 1949, in Jackson, Michigan, to Gilbert and Marjorie (Curry) Adams. Teresa married the love of her life, Gerald Dorer, in 1976, in Jackson, Michigan. They were married 49 years before his passing in 2023. She will be remembered as an avid reader, doing word searches, playing games with her grandchildren; Candyland and Memory were a couple of favorites. In her earlier years, Teresa also loved to garden, canning her harvest and sharing it with her family. She worked at Meijer for 17 plus years and then Menards for 8 years, and when her brother-in-law owned the Butler Speedway, she worked in the ticket booth. Teresa was a member of the Cement City Baptist church, sharing her singing voice in the choir.
Teresa will be missed by her children, Troy Dorer and Tara (Aaron) Eppard; brothers, Donald and Eric Draper; grandchildren, Ashton, Aydon and Trinity Eppard; and her special friend Diane O’Leary. She is preceded in death by her parents, Gilbert and Marjorie Adams; her husband, Gerald Dorer, and several siblings.
