Terrence Philip Jones' Obituary
Age 60, of Tompkins Township, passed away July 1, 2020. He served the nation in the US Army 101st Airborne. He graduated from East Jackson High School Class of 1978 and worked as the Automatic Foreman at Belgian Screw Products in Concord. He was a member of the Richard Smith American Legion Post #29 in Jackson. Terrence had a great sense of humor and a fantastic, deep singing voice. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, kayaking, country drives, cooking, grilling on his Weber, taking his dog "Cash" for rides in his Chevy truck, listening to older country music and talk radio station 97.1, listening to The Moth stories hour, cold Budweiser, and especially liked riding his Harley. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather whom his grandchildren knew as "Papa" and who devoted his life to his family. He was a very kind, giving, & gentle soul who would lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Terrence was loved by all who knew him and will be dearly missed always. He is survived by his loving wife of four years whom he married in South Haven, MI on South Beach July 4, 2016, Teresa Lynn (maiden-Koker) Jones; five children of whom he was very proud, Jessica (Shaun) DeWitt, Kelley (James Olney) Messner, Nicklaus Jones, Evan Jones and Chelsea (Jameson) Boss; ten grandchildren; siblings, Mitch Jones, Kathy (Rick) VanWerden, Mike (Jeanette) Jones, Dan (Karen) Jones and Jerry Jones; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Earl M. Jones and Patricia R. (maiden-Wilson) Lake. Mr. Jones has been cremated. A Time of Remembrance to honor his life will be held with a small private service with his family. His cremated remains will be buried with Military Honors.
