Terrie was born in Jackson, Michigan, on October 11, 1969, to Gary and Carolyn (Lammers) Stiles. She was a graduate of Lumen Christi Catholic School, and she went on to get her degree in Special Education from Eastern Michigan University. She was a dedicated and loving teacher at Jackson Public Schools for 26 years where she was known as “Mrs. Stiles” and sometimes “mom” by several of her students. Her daughters remember going anywhere in public with their mom, constantly being approached by past and present students that had been positively impacted by their favorite high school teacher.
Most recently, Terrie worked hard to earn her Commercial Driver’s License and went on the road travelling across the country and loving every minute of it. She felt free and at peace as she admired God’s creation behind the wheel.
Terrie will be remembered as a resilient, Jesus-loving, God-fearing, and whole-hearted woman. Her presence brought a sense of warmth and lightness into the atmosphere. Dance parties were never turned down, as were spur-of-the-moment singing opportunities, regardless of whether there was any music playing.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the family for future designation. Please leave a message of comfort for Terrie’s family of sign her guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
