Thaddeus ""Ted"" Oleksy's Obituary
Age 94, passed away Wednesday, January 20, 2016 at Allegiance Health after a brief illness. He was born January 29, 1921 in Koszyce, Poland, the son of Peter and Katherine Oleksy. Ted was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Dr. Stanley Oleksy; sister, Felicia Wysocki and nephew, Edward Wysocki. He is survived by nephews, Ronald (Winnie) Wysocki, Michael (Maureen) Wysocki and Danny Oleksy; nieces, Bonnie Wysocki, Carol (Mike) Townsend and Nancy (John) Wilks. Ted was a graduate of the University of Michigan and served the nation as a WWII Veteran. Along with his father, they built the Center Recreation Bowling Alley in Michigan Center. Ted had created many friendships over the years as the proprietor; he was inducted into the Jackson Bowling Hall of Fame in 1990. After his retirement, he enjoyed traveling the world. As was his wish, cremation was chosen and no services will be held. Burial at St. Johns Catholic Cemetery has taken place.
