Theodore "Ted" Arthur Malott's Obituary
Age 76, of Leoni Township, passed away Thursday, November 18, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. He was born Wednesday, February 14, 1945 in Cincinnati, Ohio, son of the late Frederick Boyd and Clara (Nelson) Malott. He is survived by his wife; Judith Ann (Sylvester) Golba-Malott, two children; Bradley (Sara) Malott and Krista (Alain Plante) Malott, step-children; Craig Golba and Linda (Richard) Hall, grandchildren; Samuel and Louis Malott, Hayes and Raleigh Plante, Samuel and Camille Golba, Jared and Brittany Hall. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife Ellen (Van Antwerp) Malott. He served the nation in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He held a Bachelor's Degree from Michigan State in Mechanical Engineering. He worked for over 30 years at Clark Equipment and then went on to Eaton Corporation. He has several engineering and product patents in his name. Ted was a gifted landscape artist, enthusiastic fisherman and enjoyed making music on the guitar and bass. Services will be held at Our Lady of Fatima Church Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at 11 am with Father Satheesh Alphonse, SdC officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 10 am until service time. Military Honors will be given by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. The family asks any memorial contributions be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society or the Jackson Interfaith Shelter.
