Theresa Dancer's Obituary
Age 66, of Michigan Center, passed away October 10, 2020 at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit. She is survived by her husband of 35 years; William W. Dancer, three children; Michelle (Daniel) Rakieten, Steven Dancer and Angela (Kip) Reichard, grandchildren; Whitney Rakieten, Lucas Rakieten, Jordan Reichard, Shayna Rakieten, Jarrod Reichard, Alyssa Reichard, Sean Dancer, Kyle Reichard, Tyler and Caleb, great-grandchildren; Payton Reichard and Nicholas Headding, siblings; Christine Skurnit, Joseph (Ellen) Mardeusz, Richard (Siobhan) Mardeusz, David Mardeusz, Frank (Tonya) Mardeusz and Annie (Todd) Caron, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her brother-in-law Nyle Skurnit and her parents; Joseph F. and Martha F. (maiden-Szydzik) Mardeusz. She was a long time waitress at several Jackson Area restaurants and formerly was the Chairman of the Lansing-Jackson Lupus Foundation and a My Lady of the Knights of Columbus. She was a devoted member of Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church where services will be held Thursday, October 15, 2020 at 11 am with Father Satheesh Alphonse, SdC officiating. Interment Hillcrest Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Wednesday evening 5-8 pm with a Recitation of the Rosary at 7:30 pm. and at the church Thursday morning one hour prior to Mass. Contributions in her memory are directed to Fatima Parish.
