Thomas Michael Groth's Obituary
Thomas Michael Groth, 54, from Belleville, Michigan, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2026, at St. Joseph Mercy Hospital after a lengthy illness. Tom’s family and friends will gather Wednesday, May 27, 2026 from 3:00 pm – 6:30 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes – Brooklyn Chapel. His funeral service will be held at 6:30 pm. Deacon Chris Vida will officiate.
Tom was born on March 9, 1972, in Warren, Michigan, to Robert and Rosemary (Porte) Groth. He graduated from Roseville High School in 1990 and attended Grand Rapids Community College. Tom married the love of his life, Lynn Koshorek, on September 2, 2022, in Sandusky, Michigan. He will be remembered as a gentle giant. Tom was a kind, loving person that had a knack for making people feel at ease. He was a hard worker, respected, dedicated to his family, loyal and protective. Tom was very athletic, playing football in college and became an avid weight lifter and body builder. He also enjoyed putting car models together for relaxation. Through his illness, he remained optimistic, never giving up and he developed a strong Christian faith. He had a deep love for people and animals. Tom will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Tom is survived by his loving wife, Lynn; his parents, Robert and Rosemary Groth; his brothers, Joseph (Thea) Groth and Donald Groth; a niece, Robin Groth; sister-in-law, Angela Koshorek; mother-in-law, Donna Smith and several aunts and uncles.
