Thomas Samuel Holst's Obituary
Thomas Samuel Holst, 71, of Jackson, MI, passed away unexpectedly at home on Wednesday, April 15, 2026. He was the son of Dr. John B and Elizabeth (Ernst) Holst, born November 24th, 1954 in Jackson, Michigan.
Thomas was a graduate of Parkside High School Class of 1972. He was a proud employee of Dawn Food Products for many years and was the first to achieve a million miles over the road. Following his service with Dawn, he went on to work 20+ years at Willbee Concrete as a cement truck driver. Tom had many friends. He enjoyed gardening, grilling and spending time with his family and friends. Tom had a big heart and you could always count on him. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Thomas will be missed by his ex-wife, Terri Holst; his sons, Samuel (Rebecca) Holst and Charlie ( Neily Castro) Holst; siblings, Phyllis (Tim) Kusisto and George Holst; nephew, Clark (Casey) Bisbee; niece, Megan Bisbee; his grandkids, Paislee (8), Parker (7), Naivee (1), and soon to be born, Scarlett and Thomas Samuel Holst II. He also leaves behind his two beloved cats, Missy and Socky.
He was proceeded in death by his parents, Dr. John B and Elizabeth Holst; his sisters, Ruth Templeton and Marge Holst; and brothers, John and Phillip Holst.
Visitation will be held Saturday, April 25th, 2026 at 10:00am at South Jackson Community Church – 1024 W Kimmel Road, Jackson, MI. The service will be held immediately after starting at 11:00am.
