Thomas Leslie Simon's Obituary
Age 73, of Michigan Center, passed away May 11, 2018 at his home surrounded by his loving family and under the care of Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice. He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Jacqueline A. Simon, two daughters, Angela Knight and Nichole Simon, two grandchildren, Travis (Ashley) Gunnels and Robert Gunnels, great-grandchildren, Sophie Gunnels, Emma and Sky Dalton, two brothers, Bob (Betty) Simon Sr. and Jerry Simon, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Susie Rhoads and Ruth Ann Woods and his parents, JB and Louise M. (Busby) Simon. Tom served the nation in the US Navy during the Viet Nam War, retired from ATL Truck Lines and was a member of the Michigan Center Lions and the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Aerie #3634, Michigan Center. Services will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at 11 am with Chaplain Greg Grotbeck, Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice officiating. Interment Roseland Memorial Gardens. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Monday 2-4 and 6-8 with an Eagles Lodge of Sorrow at 7:30 pm. Graveside Military Honors will be rendered by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Contributions in his memory are directed to his family.
