Timothy "Papa" Schrank's Obituary
Timothy Randall Schrank, “Papa”, the Man, the Myth, the Legend, 71, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. Tim was born on March 15, 1952, in Detroit, Michigan to William and Priscilla (Santos) Schrank. He was a proud graduate of Albion College. He married the love of his life, Michelle, on December 13, 2008, in Jackson, Michigan. He will be remembered as a man who was dedicated to his wife, children and grandchildren. Tim worked in grocery retail for many years at Kroger, Busch’s and owned his own store, Family Foodland. Tim had a tremendous knowledge and love of sports, especially the Detroit Lions and Red Wings. He had a wonderful sense of humor which was known to his family and many friends. He loved dogs, reading and was a history buff.
Tim will be missed by his wife, Michelle; his children, Amy (Ben) Curtiss of AZ, Eric (Michelle) Schrank of Gibraltar, MI, Janette (Eric) Blatz of AZ, Ryan (Rebekah) Mohney of Manchester, MI; one sister; three brothers; thirteen grandchildren; and many close friends and co-workers. He is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Edmund Schrank; and a son, Corey.
