Tina Ann Hicks' Obituary
Hicks, Tina
Brooklyn, Michigan
Tina Ann Hicks, 61, of Brooklyn, MI, passed away January 8, 2025, at home under the loving care of Careline Hospice after a battle with metastatic cancer.
Tina was born on March 15, 1963, in Jackson, Michigan, to Gordon L. and Dorothy M. (Guminski) Wilkinson. On January 14, 1995, she married Michael Arthur Hicks Jr.
Tina attended Columbia schools and worked various jobs in the area, including Brooklyn Products and cooking at Harolds Place and Shoopers. She was an animal lover and worked in animal rescue/rehabilitation when she lived in Tennessee. Her dogs and cats brought so much joy to her life! The real light of her life came when her three grandsons came along, they were everything to her, and she would do anything for them. When they would get off the bus at the house, they would say “Grandma, do you have anything to eat?” and she always did. Tina also loved to go to breakfast at the Eagles with them.
Tina is preceded in death by her parents, Gordon and Dorothy Wilkinson; son, James “Justin” Reason; sister, Gail Reed; sister-in-law, Rosalyn Wilkinson; and nephews, Tommy and Chris. She is survived by her spouse, Michael Hicks; son, Andrew (Jessica Bass) Hicks, grandchildren, Colton, Weston, and Everett; and her brother, Stuart of Florida.
A private ceremony has taken place and cremation as well. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 12:00 p.m.–2:00 p.m. at the Fraternal Order of Eagles Brooklyn, 9500 Wamplers Lake Rd. Brooklyn, Michigan.
Memorial contributions may be given to the family for future designation. A very special thanks to Jeff and Andy at Eineder Funeral Homes. Please leave a message of comfort for Tina’s family or sign her guestbook at www.EinederFuneralHomes.com.
