Tom Staten's Obituary
Age 88, of Norvell Township, passed away Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. He is survived by his much beloved family; his wife of 63 years, Rebecca "Marie"; son, Don (Patti) Staten of Rives Junction; three daughters, Virginia "Jenny" (James) Charles, Karen (James) Glass and Sherry (Kevin) Hamann, all of Napoleon Township; eight grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jennifer, Amanda, Krystle, James Thomas, Rebecca, Scott Thomas and Nicki; ten great-grandchildren and three siblings. Tom was a Veteran of the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict and retired from both Clark Equipment and Precision Form. He attended Vandercook Baptist Church, 703 E. McDevitt, Jackson, MI 49203 where a funeral service to honor his life will be held on Monday, June 5, 2017 at 3:00 pm with Pastor Kyle Vegter officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Cemetery in Napoleon. Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 from 6 to 8 pm at Arthur-Day Funeral Home in Michigan Center. There will be no visitation on Sunday. For those who wish, contributions in Tom's memory may be given to the Vandercook Baptist Church.
