Verlandez Donald Williams (DeRushia)'s Obituary
Verlandez Donald Williams (DeRushia), 21, from Jackson, MI, unexpectedly passed away on Saturday, June 28, 2025, at Hickman Hospital in Adrian, MI. Verlandez’s family and friends will gather from 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. , on Monday, July 7, 2025 at Eineder Funeral Homes – Michigan Center Chapel and from 10:00 – 11:00 a.m., on Tuesday, July 8, 2025, at the Michigan Center Jr/Sr High School Auditorium. His funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. at the Michigan Center Jr/Sr High School Auditorium, 400 S. State St. Pastor Rod Walker will serve as officiant. Interment will follow directly after services at Woodland Cemetery in Jackson, MI.
He was born on December 13, 2003, in Jackson, MI, to Timothy and Jeanette (Williams) DeRushia. Later in life, when Verlandez turned 13, he was cared for by Cathy and Mark Wilson, who loved him as their son. He graduated from Michigan Center High School in 2022. Verlandez enjoyed playing football and basketball in high school, which he excelled at. He was currently employed with the Jackon Public School district (METS) as a transportation aide, where he would ride along with the bus driver and assist elementary students make positive decisions on their bus route. Verlandez enjoyed playing video games and, especially, enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Verlandez will be missed by his adoptive parents, Cathy and Mark Wilson; his father, Timothy DeRushia; siblings, Christianno DeRushia, Kayleigh (Payne) Blanchard, Taylor (Keith) Wilson, Nicholas Wilson; his nieces and nephews, Hayden Blanchard, Karsyn Blanchard, Sophia Blanchard, Luka Miller, Leonardo Miller; his aunts and uncles, Renee (Tim) Licking, Erica Poole, Della Williams, Darlette Williams, Lamon Williams, Jamon Williams; his grandmothers, Susan Poole and Claudia Taylor; and many more extended family and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Jeanette Williams; his grandmother, Dorothy Williams; and his cousin, Donald Carl Jones.
