Vickie Lynn (Simons) Hester's Obituary
Age 60, of Jackson, passed away Thursday, November 5, 2015 under the loving care of her family and the staff at the Allegiance Hospice Home. She is survived by five children, Bobbi Jo (Bryan) Taylor, Donald R. Simons, Anthony (Sarah) Halsey, Darcus Samons and Mary (Joe) Bunch; 11 grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; her mother, Carrie Nelson; four brothers, David (Sharon), Carl (Victoria), Dale Jr. and Robert Simons; brother-in-law, Ron Roebuck; many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Dale Simons Sr.; step-father, Henry Nelson; sister, Char Roebuck and niece, Mindy Fagan. Her passion in life was singing and karaoke and also enjoyed shopping for others and time on her computer. Services will be held at the funeral home on Monday, November 9, 2015 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Rod Walker of the Harmony Baptist Church officiating. Cremation to follow services. Visitation will be held Sunday from 2 to 4 pm and 6 to 8 pm. Contributions in her memory are directed to her family to assist in defraying the final expenses.
