Vickie Lynn Van Alstine's Obituary
Age 71, of Blackman Township, went to be with our Lord on June 20, 2018 she was surrounded by her loving family and under the compassionate care of the staff at Henry Ford Allegiance Hospice Home. She is survived by two children; Monica 'Moe' (Douglas) Laughlin, Brian (Tamara) Van Alstine & fur son Stormy, three grandchildren, Brianna Laughlin, Hayley Van Alstine and Ashley Van Alstine, 'adopted grandchildren in heart', Starra Reeder, Sierra (Daniel) Klemm, Allison Klemm and Jodi (Raymond) Downward. She was preceded in death by her parents, Verland R. and Edna J. (Sigsby) Whittemore. Vickie loved going to Bingo, the Gospel Barn, live comedy shows, the Tulip festival in Holland MI, anywhere the car was going she wanted to be in it, watching GSN, doing 100pc puzzles, playing card games, collecting raccoon & angel figurines. She was a talented hairdresser and wrote children's books that were not published, she was also a cruise agent. She was a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #671 Ladies Auxiliary. Her wish was to be donated to science. However, she was not a candidate. Cremation has taken place and any public services will be announced at a later date. Contributions in her memory are directed to her family to assist in her final expenses.
