Vicky Lynn Huffine (maiden - Smith)'s Obituary
Age 53, of Leoni Township, passed away at home April 6, 2016 under the loving care of her family and Great Lakes Hospice. She is survived by her daughter, Sandra K. Huffine; sister, Tara (Kenneth) Brown; aunts and uncles, Nancy Furgason, Fred (Diane) Smith; cousins, John (Leslie) Furgason, Jeff (Shannon) Smith, Tracy (Gary) Smith-Jackson; other aunts, uncles and cousins; special friends, Kathy (Tim) Huber, Marge Stewart, Tina (Paul) Chatfield and the girls from Jacobson's Cortland Room. She was preceded in death by her sister, Dawn Smith; brother, Bryan Smith; parents, Allan and Sandra (maiden-Skora) Smith; grandparents, John and Nadine Skora, Osgood and Kathrine Smith. Vicky had worked as a waitress at Jacobson's Cortland Room many years before completing her LPN training at JCC. She had a passion for using her nursing skills for the benefit of her patients in the Home Health care field. She loved doing crafts and cooking. She was grateful for and wanted the staff at Great Lakes to know how much she appreciated their care. Cremation has taken place. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at the funeral home Saturday, April 23, 2016 at 11 am with Rev. Dave Cornwell, Chaplain of Great Lakes Caring Hospice, officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to services. Contributions in her memory are directed to her Daughter's College Education fund or the Great Lakes Caring Hospice.
