Virginia C. Rice's Obituary
RICE, VIRGINIA C. Age 84, of Brooklyn, went home to be with the Lord October 29, 2013 at the Bethany House under the loving care of her family, the Bethany Staff and SouthernCare Hospice. She is survived by four children, Garland (Mary) Rice of Onsted, Cathy (Ed) Rosecrans of Clark Lake, Patricia Johnson of Napoleon and Rick (Vickie) Rice of Norvell; three granddaughters; four grandsons; twelve great-grandchildren; two sisters, Anita Stephens of Napoleon and Anna Trout of Kansas; brother, John Arnett of Indiana. She married William Rice Jr. March 1, 1947 and he preceded her in death in 2003. Virginia was born in Royalton, Kentucky October 5, 1929 and was a retiree of the Ford Motor Company. Mrs. Rice has been cremated. A Memorial Service celebrating her life will be held at the Village Hope Church, 123 W. Porter, Jackson, on Friday, November 8, 2013 at 1 pm with Pastor Brad Foster officiating. Her cremains will be interred privately next to her husband in Oak Grove Cemetery, Napoleon. Virginia's family would like to thank the Brooklyn Living Center and their Staff for the loving care they showed her in the ten years she resided there. Contributions in her memory are directed to the Bethany House or the Village Hope Church.
