Vonda Lee Zimmerman, 72, of Jackson, Michigan passed away December 29, 2025. Vonda’s family and friends will gather 10:00a.m. – 11:00 am., Thursday, January 8, 2026 at Page Avenue Baptist Church. Her funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Phil Draffen serving as celebrant.
Vonda was born on September 23, 1953, in TipTop, Kentucky to Raymond and Christine (Bailey) Mullins. Vonda married the love of her life, Rocky Zimmerman, on June 19, 1971, at Page Avenue Baptist Church in Jackson, Michigan, they enjoyed 54 years raising their family together. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Vonda was known for her giving spirit, with her door always open to anyone in need. You couldn’t leave her home hungry; she always had something to delicious to eat. Vonda is a long-time member of the Page Avenue Baptist Church and she loved her church family, especially when her and her husband Rocky would visit the area nursing homes and sing for the residents. But most of all, Vonda found great joy in spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Vonda will be greatly missed by her husband, Rocky; her children, Adam (Lynda) Zimmerman, Shaynne (Christie) Zimmerman, Ashlee (Andrew) Smith and Bonnie Gardner; siblings, Willard (Lois) Rowe, Raymond (Juanita) Mullins, Mary Barnett, Lois McClung, Danny Mullins and Jimmy Mullins; grandchildren Alexis (Brandon), Kaley (Adrian), Kaleb, Kameron, Daniel (Krystal), Matthew, Heather (John); great grandchildren Gena, Roselynn, Scarlette, Jeremiah, Valeira, Andrew Jr., Adrian Jr., Ethan, Austin, Alyvia, William; great-great Grandchild, Cynthia; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Christine, son, Jason Zimmerman, brother, Geroge Edward, sisters, Eva, Martha and infant sister, Evagene.
