Wanda Marie Cole's Obituary
Wanda Marie Cole, 91, of Napoleon, Michigan, passed away Monday, February 5, 2024, at Henry Ford Jackson Hospital. She was born on August 16, 1932, in Lincoln Park, Michigan to Richard and Mabel (Watts) Parmer. Wanda married the late Virgil Cole on June 18, 1977. They had 33 wonderful years together until his passing in 2011.
Wanda grew up in the Detroit area where she attended St. Ann’s school. After moving to the Chelsea area, she worked for over thirty years at Polly’s Country Market. Later she moved to Napoleon where she was a member of the TOPS group and the Napoleon United Methodist Church. In her spare time, she enjoyed playing cards, exercising with her friends, camping, and traveling overseas to Europe, the Caribbean, and Hawaii.
Wanda is survived by her stepdaughters, Kathy (Rob)Truman and Diane Hughes; siblings, Charles (Sharon) Parmer and Barbara Davis; 9 grandchildren; and 12 great grandchildren; as well as several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Virgil Cole; daughter, Penny Williams; and siblings, Richard, Robert, Fred, Doreen, Fran, Mabel, Betty, Bill, and Raymond.
