Wanda Jane Herdus' Obituary
Wanda Jane Herdus, 88, of Clark Lake, Michigan, passed away on Sunday, July 27, 2025. Wanda’s family and friends will gather from 11:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 31, 2025, at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Funeral services will directly follow at 12:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Father Bob Pienta will serve as celebrant.
Wanda was born on May 12, 1937, in Jackson, Michigan, to Ben and Margaret (Lucka) Paciorek. She graduated from Napolean Highschool in 1955. Wanda married the love of her life, John Frank Herdus, in Jackson, Michigan, who she spent many happy years with. Wanda worked as a candy striper at Foot Hospital and then took a job at the Tobacco Company in Jackson, Michigan before getting married. Once married, Wanda stayed home to take care of her 5 children and her home. Her favorite thing to do was spending time with her family and hosting family gatherings. Wanda served on the Ladies Auxiliary for the Polish Legion of American Veterans and volunteered at the Jackson Osteopathic Hospital. She will be remembered as a devoted mother, wife, grandmother, a great grandmother and a great, great grandmother, who will truly be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Wanda will be missed by her spouse, John Frank Herdus; her children, Stephen Florek, Tim Herdus, Carol Burns, Brian (Sunday) Herdus, and Terry Herdus; her grandchildren, Stephany, Alinda, Richard, Jessica, Corey, Mandy, Josh, Brian Jr., and Libby; many great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Margaret Paciorek; and her siblings, Steffi, Joe, Stan, and Meddy.
