Wanda Adriana Kolb's Obituary
Wanda Adriana Kolb, 84, passed away Friday, January 8, 2021 after a lengthy illness at Mission Point in Jackson, Michigan. She was born on January 22, 1936, in Detroit, Michigan to Edward and Virginia Bownik. In January 19, 1959 Wanda married Peter Kolb, in Detroit, Michigan. She will be remembered as being fiercely independent and very strong willed but also very caring. Family gatherings on holidays were very important to Wanda. She would cook and bake large quantities of Polish food for family and friends. Wanda loved the company of her dog and several cats, gardening, and her flowers. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
Wanda is survived by her children, Peter Kolb, Jr and Laura (Mark) Moncure; six grandchildren; one great grandchild; many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband of 42 years, Peter, daughter Kathaleen Shaw, and nine brothers and sisters.
Wanda’s family and friends will gather Thursday, January 14, 2021 from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm, scripture service will begin at 6:00 pm at Eineder Funeral Homes - Brooklyn Chapel. Her Interment will be Friday, January 15, 2021 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, Augusta, Michigan. Fr. Tom Helfrich, OSFS of St. Rita Catholic Church will officiate. Memorial contributions are suggested to Cascades Humane Society. Covid-19 mandates and social distancing guidelines will be observed.
