Warren Lee Kimball's Obituary
Age 90, of Vandercook Lake, passed away Saturday, May 29, 2021 at Henry Ford Allegiance Health. He was born at Michigan Center on March 1, 1931 to Kenneth and Juanita Kimball. Warren graduated in 1951 from Michigan Center High School where was very active in athletics. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After returning home, he went on to have a career with Dawlen Corporation for 43 years, then after retirement worked another 25 years with Gene Davis & Sons Catering. Warren was a 49 year member of Harmony Baptist Church. He always had a passion for sports; he even played on his church softball team well into his 80's.
Warren's greatest love was his family. He is survived by his wife of nearly 50 years, Bessie; six children, Steven Kimball, Connie (Rusty) Waller, Ronnie (Barb) Bailey, Charlotte (Greg) Scholl, John (Mary) Bailey and Nelson (Pam) Bailey; many beloved grand, great-grand and great-great-grandchildren; sister, Letha Elliott; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; teen-age son, Dwayne Bailey; brothers, Kenneth and James and sister, Brenda.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be held at the funeral home on Saturday, June 5, 2021 at Noon with Pastor Rod Walker officiating and Military Honors provided by the Jackson County American Legion Ritual Team. Warren's family will greet friends beginning at 11 am. Contributions in his memory may be given to Harmony Baptist Church, 6475 Ann Arbor Rd, Jackson, MI 49201.
